The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Day

Well what a fun-filled day we had celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in school. Firstly, everyone made such an effort to come dressed in red, white and blue.

In class, we had bunting and a Union Jack up for decoration and had a go at designing and making our own bunting using a template.

But some children had the fab idea of making the bunting into flags. So with the help of Mrs Scorer and some some sticky tape, lots of flags could be seen waving in the classroom!

Then it was time for a tea party. The tables had been arranged in a long row so that we could pretend we were having a street party.

What a treat and how very civilised! And I think you can tell from the photos that we all approved.

Then it was outside for our picnic lunch, followed by tree planting and an afternoon of activities.

It was a busy day, filled with lots of activities but hopefully one that we will look back on fondly in years to come. Charlie said it was probably the best day he had ever had in school which filled Mrs Hurst's heart with joy!

We hope that you had great fun celebrating with family and friends over the holidays.
